WHAT/WHO? Maria is offering this fun Maria Field one day beginner workshop on behalf of the Watercolour Society of Qld. It is aimed at those who have always wanted to try their hand at watercolour or feel they need to brush up on some of the basics.

You will be producing small paintings straight away as we cover

basic washes, brushstrokes, materials, colour mixing, glazing, masking, focal points, making darks, preventing mud and different techniques.

Emphasis is placed on cause and effect of watercolour techniques so that you can better understand what is happening on your paper and more importantly….why!

Venue and Time:
WHEN: Saturday the 30th July 2022
TIME: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
WHERE: The Lavalla Centre, which is the old Marist Bros College at Rosalie/Paddington on the corner of Given Terrace and Fernberg Road. Street parking. No steps.
COST: $95 for the day. This does not include materials. A materials list will be provided upon booking, along with payment details and a map of the premises. Morning and arvo tea provided, but bring own lunch.

Please note that the course will run with a minimum of 6 students and the maximum class size is 12 students. It will be on a ‘first in’ booking basis.
