Watercolour Society Annual Exhibition 2022

The usual Watercolour Annual Exhibition held for the past 35 years is back this year. There will  be the usual judging and lots of Prizes to be won. The best of the best of our Watercolour Artists members will display their best of work at the exhibition. Art lovers and Art enthusiasts mark your calendars.   

The Watercolour Annual Exhibition is organised for our members to be able to display their work, win a prize, and have the opportunity to SELL their artwork.  

Prizes can be won under following categories:

There will be a People’s Choice competition.  This gives the people visiting the exhibition a chance to have their say and vote for their favourite artwork.

There will be 2 categories.  

Category 1:   Traditional medium 

Category 2:   Water-based medium on any surface

Here are the details:

Date:  September 23rd – 25th 2022.  Location:  The Botanic Gardens, MT Coot-tha,   152 MT Coot-tha Rd.  MT. Coot-tha 4066.

• Last day to register for Exhibition 24th August
• Delivery paintings on Wednesday 21st September, from 8am to 2pm at Botanic Gardens Auditorium,
• Hang the work on Thursday 22nd September.  
• Open to Public on Friday 23rd September till Sunday 25th September
  

Opening night on Friday times: 6:00pm – 9:00pm  Mark your Calendar for a cocktail/wine and cheese reception

Extended time on Friday 23rd– until 9pm.

Terms and conditions: Terms and Conditions and Entry fee form will be uploaded soon.   This year there will be judging and prize presentations. 

Entry Fee:      FREE Entry 

You submit work that is 

• Framed paintings up to ½ size
• Framed paintings ½ – 1/1. 
• Unframed – matted.  

Commission:    25% on the purchase price of Artwork. 

Marketing: We will advertise and promote the Exhibition similar to the previous years. We will use our new Exhibition banner and other signage to catch the eye of Art Lovers and Art enthusiasts.

Plus, there is the drawcard of the Café to bring people in.
