Please do not miss this opportunity. Numbers are limited to 15 due to COVID 19 restrictions. This will book out very quickly. If you miss out – we will endeavor to have a stand by list with the possibility of holding an additional workshop at another time.
Winsor and Newton Workshop
Topic: Investigate colour mixing skills
Friday 21.8.20. Location: The Coro at 10.00 – 1.00 pm
FREE for members. $10 non-members.
General description of workshop:
In this workshop, we will investigate colour mixing skills, using the split primary colour wheel, have a look at complementary colours, the green palette, and the Winsor and Newton colour chart. I will also share with you some interesting techniques for creating texture in your work, using granulating medium, spattering, salt, glad wrap, credit cards, palette knives, and gum Arabic.
Winsor and Newton are generously donating all paint and paper for this workshop, so you will only need to bring a few items along.
Material list: You bring:
• 1-2 White palettes
• 2 water containers
• 3-4 favourite brushes (flat and round)
If you would care to bring along a recent painting, it may help me to see where you are on your amazing watercolour journey.
Wendy List – Professional Artist Bio
As a graduate of the Sydney School of Colour and Design here on the Gold Coast, for the past 20 years, I have been teaching colour workshops at various galleries, societies, and art schools. One of the great joys of my life apart from my own journey in this glorious world of watercolour is sharing my knowledge with others. As any teacher will tell you, it is always a pleasure learning from students.
